I need help about my cat using my carpet instead of her liter box! How do I get the smell out of my carpet and help for her not to do it again! And now we have another kitten so can they use the same liter box? Please help.

The general rule of thumb is one more litter box than the number of cats you have in your home. That said, if they are OK sharing, then it is fine. For the older cat that is not using the box, it may be a medical issue. Take the cat to you veterinarian to have a urine sample tested. It may also be behavioral. Then the choices are many. More litter boxes, a deeper litter box, different litter, move the litter box, add a feline hormone in the air (Feliway, for example), etc. As for the carpet, not much will remove cat urine odor permanently. Either replace that area of carpet or hire a professional cleaner. But, if that is not the problem, it may not help. Inappropriate urination is the number one reason for cat euthanasia. Try your best.
